I got a bit sidetracked this weekend, so you get a two-for-one instead!
So may the force be with you.
In case you haven’t noticed, Star Wars The Last Jedi, is now showing at cinemas across New Zealand. I have enjoyed the Star Wars movies from the past 3 years, loving the epic adventures and the premise of good prevailing over evil.
The film is pure magic for long-time Stars Wars buffs, but I don’t think it matters too much if you aren’t the biggest Star Wars fan. I for one am not, but I totally bought into the spectacle and hype of the occasion. Warring factions, big explosions, alien creatures, inter-galactic travel, stunning vistas, kick-ass guns, epic war machines, to cute space creatures. Yup suspend your judgement and go for the ride.

What I also appreciated about The Last Jedi is that it delicately paid tribute to the late Carrie Fisher. One particular scene where Princess Leia floats in space is spell-binding and emotionally poignant.
The film definitely appeals to the viewer of today. It features strong female characters (more than any other I can recall) and has actors from diverse ethnic backgrounds. I so want to join their team.
This is pure entertainment at its best, so go check it out this summer!
#xmascountdown2017 From 1-24 December I will blog daily suggestions with tips and advice on awesome things to do, see or experience during the festive season. The summer also represents a perfect opportunity on mental and physical wellbeing; a time to re-charge, re-energise and to re-focus. You’re welcome.
