Self care weekend

Last week was such a roller-coaster at work.  Lots of ups and downs with many challenges thrown into the mix.

I noticed I was getting tired.  Over-sensitive.  Crabby.  Emotionally exhausted.

Psychologist Guy Winch says too many of us deal with common psychological-health issues on our own, but we don’t have to.  He makes a compelling case to practice emotional hygiene — taking care of our emotions, our minds, with the same diligence we take care of our bodies.

So over the weekend I made a point of tending to my self-care and below are some photos documenting this.  Taking care of my emotional health this weekend was extremely important and I’m glad I prioritised it – the support and joy I received through different activities made a positive boost to how I was feeling.

1. Hello coffee my old friend.
2. Dumpling lunch with some fab people.
3. Looked at some awesome photos from yesteryear.
4. Amazing Raclette dinner with friends!
6. Played hilarious games.
7. Relaxing bath.
8. Drove through the Waterview tunnel (amazing!).
