Self care weekend

Last week was such a roller-coaster at work.  Lots of ups and downs with many challenges thrown into the mix.

I noticed I was getting tired.  Over-sensitive.  Crabby.  Emotionally exhausted.

Psychologist Guy Winch says too many of us deal with common psychological-health issues on our own, but we don’t have to.  He makes a compelling case to practice emotional hygiene — taking care of our emotions, our minds, with the same diligence we take care of our bodies.

So over the weekend I made a point of tending to my self-care and below are some photos documenting this.  Taking care of my emotional health this weekend was extremely important and I’m glad I prioritised it – the support and joy I received through different activities made a positive boost to how I was feeling.
