And a 1, 2, 3, 4….

In my last blog post I professed my love for playing the ukulele and today’s group performance at the Hobsonville Point Farmers Market really cemented this into my psyche.

We, The Unicorns, were blessed with sunny weather and there were lots of people filtering through the market.  No pressure at all… We got stuck into our repertoire and it was amazing to hear how the vocals  strengthened as the morning wore on (well, I think they did).  I particularly liked how we sung Hallelujah in memory of Leonard Cohen too.  We love you Leonard!

The crowd and stallholders were very supportive and we were surprised and chuffed to receive donations.  In this spirit of generosity, we decided to donate all money to the Earthquake Relief fund.

Yes it’s a mighty cliché, but today I was reminded that it’s a wonderful thing to seize opportunities as they arise.

Check out some of the photos from our performance today.  We also have photos on our Facebook page too.
